Online dating for older men
I realize that my enjoyment goes hand in hand with not having anything at stake, no enormous expectations.I'm not looking to replace my beloved husband, who died in 2008.
You’re a successful older man who wants to date a woman significantly younger than him. Needless to say, this goes for ALL people who are dating online. We want what WE want, even if what we want is unrealistic. Here are a few, aimed at men because that's my experience. Are the same true of women, or are there other things that women typically do that irk you? Now, as we reach our 50s and 60s, the situation is somewhat more complicated. To get a view into the male mind after 60, I sat down with dating coach, Lisa Copeland for a quick chat.In our interview, I asked Lisa this question directly and she gave me a simple answer.
Single men in their 60s are looking for a woman who is feminine and is willing to help them feel like a man.
For women who have been trying to find that illusive “special someone” for a while, this may seem like an impossible question to answer.
After all, for most of our lives, men were simple creatures.
Now you’re going to get the same song and dance as every other guy who has written to complain about women on the Internet. So let’s say you’re a 36-year-old woman, entering the prime of your life. Yeah, 45 is a little old, you say, but you want to be open-minded. It’s that you’re failing to recognize what most younger women want. At least you know that a woman on Millionaire Match might be more willing to sacrifice youth for security.
You’re done with the bar scene and you’re very much interested in settling down to have a family of your own. Well, if you’re born in 1971, you’re part of Generation X. Your friends are buying their first houses and having their first kids. Maybe he’ll still be vigorous enough to keep up with your active lifestyle. Next, since you can’t convince someone to date an older man, stop trying.
I wrote this comment on a message board for women over 50 in response to one person who was scared to date: If you think of dating as your way to learn about another person and about yourself without risking anything, it can be fun -- go for coffee or a walk or dinner with someone new, talk, see what you both enjoy discussing and doing.
